Sarah Eakin understands firsthand that buying or selling a home can be an emotional, uncertain and exciting process, and she takes pride in helping each of her clients feel secure in their decisions and be excited for their new beginnings. Sarah and her husband, Jack, moved to Nashville from New York City in May 2018, where they lived in the Greenwich Village area for six years. Their son, Frank, was born in New York and was the catalyst for their move to Jack’s hometown. They could not be happier with their decision to make Nashville home!
When Sarah was six years old, she found out her family was moving from Atlanta to Greenwood, SC, and took it upon herself to market her parents’ home to every neighbor, passerby and package delivery driver at their door. It was then she discovered her knack for salesmanship, drive to be successful and love of real estate. As she progressed through school, Sarah maintained an interest in real estate, but her nurturing nature and love of helping children led her to become an elementary school teacher. Sarah taught in private schools in Atlanta and New York City for 10 years, teaching every grade K-3. Through her experience as a teacher, she developed superior communication skills, unyielding patience, a need to stay organized and a passion to help her community – all skills that have aided her real estate career.
Sarah is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where she majored in anthropology. She then earned a Master’s of Education in teaching from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA and taught at Pace Academy in Atlanta, followed by The Collegiate School and The Dwight School, both in the Upper West Side of New York. In her free time, you can find Sarah visiting Cheekwood, the Frist Museum, the Adventure Science Center and the Nashville Zoo with her son, scoping out the Nashville restaurant scene, and playing fetch with her rescue Chihuahua mix, Frida.
